Alternate car appearance

Select one player mode and enter the car selection screen. Enter "Garage A", hold (Circle) and press (X). Car A03 (the Convertible) will now have its top down. Enter "Garage B", hold (Circle) and press (X). Car B04 will have new headlights and new colors. Enter "Garage C", hold (Circle) and press (X). Car C06 will have a sun roof.

Diablo

Select a car and finish the Uptown Driveway track in first place under all three difficulty levels in one player mode. Finish in first place in the next level. Next, race the Uptown Driveway track in time trial mode and find the parked Diablo.

Drive a city bus:

Beat the Bay Area time trial in under 3 minutes. You can now choose to race with a city bus.

Drive a scooter:

Beat all the courses (front and back) in time trial mode in under 3 minutes. Go back to the Time Trial in the Northern country. Look for the open gate. The scooter will be down by the river under a bridge.

Hidden vehicles

Note: Each of the hidden vehicles may be saved for easier selection after they are found the first time. All vehicles may also be tuned up.

McLaren and Truck

Select a car and Finish the Pikes Peak Hill Climb track with a time less than two minutes and thirty seconds. Note these vehicles may only be driven in time trial mode.

New vehicles:

Beat the Pikes Peak track in under 2 minutes and 30 seconds. You can now choose to race with the Mack Truck or the Lotus "Esque".

Nissan 240 ZX and Bus

Drive a car and complete the Bay Area track with a time less than three minutes.

Porsche

Select a car and finish the Seven Tight Corners track in first place under all three difficulty levels in one player mode. Race the same track in time trial mode and find Porsche at the hotel.

Scooter

Select a car and race the Northern Country track in time trial mode in a counter clockwise direction. Go through the gate that is near the river on the second lap to find the scooter.
Emergency flashers
Hold (L1) and press (R1) while in any garage.

Special class vehicles

Enter the car selection menu. Highlight "Garage A" and press (L1) + (Circle). Highlight "Garage B" and press (L1) + (Circle). Highlight "Garage C" and press (L1) + (R1) + (Circle). Re-enter the car selection menu and choose the new "Special" option. The bus, truck, McLaren F-1, and scooter will be selectable.
