While in game play, enter Triangle, x, Triangle, Box, Box, Circle. 99 will apear in the lives counter.

Unlimited Lives:
Collect the bonus life at the top of the fountain at the start of the game. Press Start to pause game play and display the status screen. Resume the game play and collect the same bonus life, which will re-appear. Repeat this procedure to collect an unlimited number of lives.
In the Bat Caves, the camera keeps you from seeing upcoming obstacles. If you see something ahead of you, stand in the middle of the platform to increase your forward vision.
In Dome Sweet Dome, beat both the Crazy Native and the Spider then open the door to see the wire holding the prison intact.
