Best way to do

When it is time to do test your might instead of just pressing "x" a lot of times roll your thumb across all of the buttons (x,square,o,and triangle) this will help more when you get to the higher levels in the game, then press L1 after it gets past the line.

Concept art in Goro's Lair

On the bridge near the end if you jump off the left side you will land on a platform which will unlock a new concept art. On the bridge, at the end will be a golden Dragon Koin. Use a projection attack to receive another new concept art. A notification will appear when you have hit it correctly. Applies to the demo version only.

Early Warrior Shrine

You can do this without the swinging move, but your hero needs to have the wall-run and double-jump abilities.

When you enter the warrior shrine area, there is a small fence on the right. Go around it and position yourself by the mountain, as far to the right as you can.

Diagonal wall run to the hero's right. Although you cannot go that way, your hero will still ascend. At the top of the wall-run, double jump to the top, and you will reach the statue to unlock the warrior's shrine with no need to use the swinging bars.

Easy experience

Get a "Toasty" combo rating by the announcer, then quickly press [Down] + [Star. The phrase "Toasty 1000" will appear, giving your 1,000 experience points.

How to find cheats

Every time you unlock a "concept art" a fatality cheat may pop up. to find it you will need to go to the Kontent menu and click on "Concept Art" the press R1 button until u see the Mortal Kombat symbol then you click on it and a fatality cheat will pop up and a picture of the guy that uses it. (it may be a cheat u already know)

Play as Scorpion in VS mode

In the Foundation area, follow the pathway downstairs to the left of the save station. Two archers will bust through the wall. Throw one of the archer at the wall to the left of the door way and it will bust open revealing a secret room full of lava and a Ying Yang symbol on a ledge. Grab the other archer and throw him in the lava. Then, double jump off the guards back to get the Ying Yang symbol that unlocks Scorpion in VS mode.

Play as Sub-Zero in VS mode

When Sub-Zero freezes the castle door in the Wastelands, break the door and enter, then exit the door. Jump up on the dragon statue to the left to find the Ying Yang symbol that unlocks Sub-Zero in VS mode.

Rescue Kabal and get his Hookswords

In the Wastelands, there are two doors that are covered with human bodies. One leads to the Elemental Warriors, the other is an area where Shokan warriors are throwing boulders at you. Go though the second door. Simply avoid the boulders and climb the ladders until you reach the top. There you will find Kabal inside a cage. Once he is freed, he will leave his hookswords as a sign of gratitude.

Smoke mini-missions

Destroy a statue in Wu-Shi Academy and enter the Warrior Shrine. The Warrior Shrine is at the very start of the Wu-Shi area.

Break the walls in the Soul Tombs to reveal a secret fatality. This is an area with spikes on the ceiling and about six Tarkata in the room. You can see out on the far side of the room and you need to break the four center sections of the wall.

Offer thee Sacrifices in the Sacrifice Room in Soul Tombs. You must go through the room that does not have a green or red symbol above it. Then, do air throws to get the Tarkatas into the spiked areas.

Find all Purple Portals and throw an enemy into each one to unlock the portal. There are only two portals to throw mobs into (one near the Evil Monastery and the other at the lower level near the climbing spot).

To unlock the Pit II, enter the portal and survive in the frozen peaks. After you enter the portal, keep killing the enemies that appear until you are told that you have won.

When you get outside go to were you can see the moon the wait a while, you should see a wich fly by first, then a rocket will fly up, then a person on a cloud will go by just like the wich, and then you will finaly see santa claus and his reindeer. *note* it will take a wile to see them all.

In Terminator 2 the T-101 wants John and Sarah Conner to burn him in lava, then puts his thumb up as soon as his head is under lava. Midway also produced the arcade game Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

In the soul tomb portal, got to the area where you have to wall climb. You will see 2 paths. One leads left, the other right. The right path has a statue. Use fist of ruin and break it. Keep going and use the long jump ability across the gap and you will get him.

Unlock Johnny Cage

In the wu-shi academy where everything is burning. Go to the very right of the gate and jump onto the roof of the house. Run to the right and jump. If you did it correctly, you will be on a new platform with a boulder blocking your way.

Unlock Kitana

In the MK2 arena level (right before the portal with the two statues in front of it) in the evil monastery, you will see many pillars. Jump on one of them which is half broken and then double jump onto the roof. You will find the secret there.

Living Forest. Go to the section after the Brotherhood Of Shadow. Long Jump across the gap with the tiny waterfall. Go through the door. Now, get the Clay Statues to come to life. Destroy their shield. You only need 1 of them. Now, get
one of them over near the Giant Stone Cloumn on the other side of the stream. It's the stone column right near where you entered. Throw the Clay Statue into it! It should come crashing down. Now, return to where the little waterfall was. There is no longer a waterfall. Just a Koin that contains Reptile.

Unlock Scorpion
