To aquire Auron's Legendary Weapon, Masamune, you must have the Celestial Mirror and acquire the Rusty Sword, found on the eastern cliff of the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth in the Calm Lands. Take the Rusty Sword to the statue of Lord Mi'ihen on Mushroom Rock Road. Access to this area was previously prevented by Clasko. Place the Rusty Sword before the statue to reveal a glyph. Touch the glyph to reveal the Masamune's secret location.

This is a more of an hint than a cheat, first y'all need to have the airship and second you'll need to have Yojimbo (This is the aoen that will defeat the dark ones). At first you'll thinking how the hell do you beat these bloody aoens! well this is how you do it. Have a lot of gils i would recommend 100000 or you can have more (the best place to get gil is the Omega ruins) when you have this much of gil, go to a Dark aoen. first put someone who has first strike on their weapon (because you can get ambushed and die before you know it). Call Yojimbo note. all the other aoens no matter how much damage it gives cannot defeat any of the dark aoens. when Yojimbo comes use 100000 of your gil and Yojimbo might possibly do the finishing move which is called 'Zanmato' this move completly kills and cuts the dark aeons soul.

The best place to train in is the Zanarkand Ruins-Cordor area. This is because you get the same amount of AP from here as from Omega Ruins even though they are weak enemies. The monsters at Omega Ruins are more difficult.

If you are bad at Blitzball, keep playing until a good team fires one of their players. Then, go to the team and find the player that they fired and hire him.
When playing Blitzball, you may notice players on other teams that are better than the players on your team. If you wish to switch players, simply scout the opposing player, and note how many games they have left on their contract. If you can afford to pay your other team members' salaries, you can simply play multiple exhibition games against the team with the player you want, and after each game starts, press Triangle to Forfeit. This will not hurt your team, since no-one on the opposing team will gain experience. Once the number of games on the desired player's contract is reduced to 1, find the player and scout them again (this makes the team less likely to re-sign him or her). Save your game, play another exhibition game, and forfeit. After the game, the team will either release or re-sign the player, but you can reset your game and try multiple times until the player is released. Then, head back and sign the player for your own team.
To win every one of your early games of Blitzball easily (asides from the first rather unfair one), you need to pick up the correct people after the events in Luca. Recruit Zev Ronso (standing near dock 4 on the eastern side) and have him take the MF position. Recruit Wedge from the gate near the Auroch's locker room and have him take LF or RF. Tidus stays in the other LF or RF slot. Recruit Jumal from the square near the theater/seaport side and make him your goalie. Eventually, recruit Ropp from Rin's store on the Highroad and have him take over for one of your defenders. Swing Letty back with Jassu as defenders to start, and keep Letty to do the passing after getting Ropp. Here is the strategy needed to win. Tidus and Wedge will quickly become the nastiest front team in the game. Once Tidus hits level 3, equip Jecht Shot (you should have this from the boat ride to Luca). When he charges for a goal, keep his defenders down to two and Jecht Shot will mow them both down, giving him a SH 18+ shot on goal. He can usually do this once per half, for two easy points. Wedge has 65 SP and 17 SH. He can especially victimize the Ronso team, as they are slow. Have him zip to the goal, shoot, and score. At level 3, equip Wither Shot for even more nastiness. Zev is almost the perfect midfielder. A shade slow, but he can hit, pass, endure, tackle, block -- a great set up man for your forwards. If they kept track of assists, Zev would be through the roof. Letty and Jassu have good speed and attack, and both can pass. Since your goalie (Jumal) has a 14 CA and can equip Super Goalie at level 3, they do not really need to be there to stop shots. Let them pass to each other if you want good ball control. Ropp is a vicious defender with great attack, block, and pass. Use him as further insurance, especially against the Guado team. Keep leveling, grab some techs, and no one can stop you.
You probably will not win the first (unfair) game of Blitzball with the Luca Goers. However, use the following trick to win every game besides that. First, in Luca after that game and the events that happen at the stadium, go to dock 4 and get Zev Ronso and make him your MF. Next, get Jumal near the bar sitting on a bench and make him your Goalie. After that, go to the stairs that lead to the stadium, get Wedge, and make him you RF. Make Tidus your LF and make sure he has the Jecht Shot. It can take two people out when your in a breakthrough. Wedge will have a shot of 17 and Zev is excellent for a beginner because his shot and pass are sort of balanced but his EN is strong. Jumal will be a goalie with a starting catch of 15. If you keep leveling up Jumal, he will get Super Goalie. Also, try out other people in different towns as well. Press Square to see if some people are on other teams or a free player. Press X for the free players to join.
It is possible to do well in Blitzball without hiring other players. Blitzball members will gain experience by how they participate in the game, and by how well they participate. If your team makes successful attacks, shots, catches, passes, etc. they will gain experience and their stats will increase. Basically, if your team has more time with the ball, you will gain more experience points for your team. In a Blitzball game, take note of the opposing team's stats, and find out what most of their weaknesses are. You will now know who to avoid and who to ignore in a game. Also, if someone is on your tail while you are dribbling the ball, you may want to take care of them as soon as possible. If your dribbler survives the attack, the attack will be far behind and your dribbler will be able to advance the ball without worrying about too many attackers.

Once you have full control of the airship, go to Bikanel Island and look around until you find a small book. Pick it up and it says "Al Bhed Primer I".

Go to Bickanel Island. Go to the farthest screen right before home. There is a stone similar to the ones in the Thunder Plains. Talk to it and it will tell you to find a Cactaur and then another. There are ten in all. When you play their games, try to catch them then use magic on it when you fight it. Do not hit it with physical attacks -- it will dodge them.

When you reach "Home" on Bikanel Island, follow Rikku down to the corridor. Do not go through the door on your left until you have gotten the items. First, go to the right and you will find an seemingly empty hall. Go up to get the first treasure, six Al Bhed potions. Come down and go to the right some more and to find two doors on your right. You cannot go through the malfunctioned door. Your only choice is the other door. Before going inside, get the Al Bhed Primer in the corner just beside the door. Go inside and defeat the Guado Guard and Chimeras. There are two treasures there (one is hidden). First, go to the one that you can see. It will ask for a combination and give you hints on what the numbers are. Next, find the hidden one, just beside the flames on the ground. It will ask a series of questions. For the first question, "Are You Al Bhed?", select the third choice. The second question is "Name the son of the Al Bhed leader". Answer "Brother". The third question is "On what island do the Al Bhed live?". Chose "Bikanel Island". The last question is "What is Al Bhed in Al Bhed". Choose the first choice to obtain the treasure. Next, go back up the steps and enter the room on the left. Fight the Guado Guard and Dual Horns to progress. The first treasure box will say something about being the "Treasure Chest of Dreams". Choosing an item is up to you. At the second chest you will be asked to translate a series of words in Al Bhed. Answer accordingly: Sorry (second to last choice); Wait (last choice on second row); Pardon (second choice on second row).

Get the airship (after the battle with Yunalesca), go to search and enter the coordinates for the Omega Ruins(X: 74, Y: 36). Make your way through the ruins until you fight Omega Weapon's shadow. Then, go to the little transporter in front of you. It will take you to another world. Fight your way to the purple light. Having Tidus's Calabolg at maximum power is recommended. It will defeat Omega Weapon's true form quickly. After the battle, you will receive the Genji Sheild. It has the Break HP Limit, which will allow you to surpass 9999 HP.

In order to do the following trick, you must have the airship, all of the Thunder Plain monsters, the Overdrive=AP ability on your weapons, a lot of Phoenix Downs, the overdrive mode on "Stoic" or "Comrade" (or you will not get the experience), and Auto-Phoenix (recommended). Go to Calm Lands and make sure you have your Overdrive=AP weapons on. Go over to the arena, and play against Cactuar King (in Zone Conquer). When the battle starts, immediately cast Hastega on your party. Cactuar should make his first attack. If not, have the character use a move that will hit Cactuar King, and that character is set for the battle. If Cactuar King attacked, use a Pheonix Down on whoever died, then attack. Watch your timing -- If he has a turn immediately after yours, fix anything you have to, but do not attack. This will make this match very difficult, because he will kill two characters. Make sure your Limit setting is either on Stoic, or Comrade, so his 100,000 damage translates into that much AP. Assuming that you hit him with all the characters you want to gain levels, continue to do a Phoenix Down, Guard, Phoenix Down, Guard, and after you have had enough, you can run, you can kill him, or he will run. You should have at least 100,000 AP after the battle. After the battle, buy more Phoenix Downs, save, use levels, and then do it again.

After Master Mika "leaves", fly back to every Cloister Of Trials in the game, and make your way to the Chamber Of The Fayth. Once there, you will get new intermission sequences and at least four very rare and useful items in the treasure chests.
[Aug 21st 2004]
[top of page]
The Cloisters of Trials can be easy or can be difficult. The first two and quite simple(This will also help you to get the Secret treasure to help get Anima).
Once you enter the Besaid Cloister, touch the Glyph directly in front of you, then touch the glyph that appears next to you. This will open a doorway. Go down the Stairs and remove the Glyph Sphere from the holder on the wall and continue down the next set of stairs. Place the Sphere in the door to open it. Enter the next room and take the Sphere back out of the door. Run around the corner until you see a Sphere holder. Put the Glyph Sphere in the holder to make the wall rise. There is a Destruction Sphere in this room, but leave it were it is for now. Go further into the room until you see a grey pedistal in the left-hand wall. Touch the Glyph opposite this to open the wall. Walk into this small room and take the Besaid Sphere from the wall. The light in this room will go out. Exit the room and place the Besaid Sphere on the pedistal. the wall will then disolve. Run back to the room with the Destruction Sphere in and remove it. Take the Destruction Sphere to where the Besaid Sphere was and insert it. A purple light should move along the left of the room. The camera will show thw wall at the very end of the Cloister. The wall will explode and reveal a treasure chest. Go to this chest and open it. You will get a weapon for Yuna and a strange Glyph will Flash before you. Go back to the pedistal and push it toward the flashing light on the floor. It will eventually sink into the ground and Wakka will show up. You'll enter the Chamber of the Fayth and get your first Aeon, Valefor.
The Fire Cloister, Kilika. After seeing the Luca Goers (BlitzBall Team) enter the temple. Another summoner will show up and a LONG cutscene will follow. Once this is over, the team will enter the Cloister and get on an elevator. Kimahri will push you off and the others will leave without you. Once the elevator is back, setp onto it and Dona and her (THICK) Gaurdian will show up. they throw you into the cloister. Go up to the door and say yes to enter. Remove the Kilika Sphere from the pedistal and put it into the hole next to the door. Once the door is on fire, remove the Sphere and proceed through the doorway. Put the Kilika Sphere in the wall in front of you to reveal a Glyph. Remove the Sphere and put it into the holder on the left of the room. Take the Glyph Sphere from the pedistal and place it into the right-hand holder. Touch the Glyph to open the wall. There is a blazeing inferno in the next room. Take the Kilika Sphere from the right wall. Step on the Flashing bit on the floor. Put the Kilika Sphere in the pedistal that appears. Go back and get the Glyph Sphere. Place it where the Kilika Sphere was on the wall to stop all the fire, and open the wall. Push the pedistal onto the flashing bit of the floor. if the Kilika Sphere is still in it , it will sink. If there isn't, insert one. go to the far left of the room and down the stairs ahead. Go to where the pedistal sank and remove the Kilika Sphere. run up the stairs ahead and insert the Sphere. DON'T remove it and go into the Fayth yet. Go back to where you inserted the Glyph Sphere. Enter the room and get the Destruction Sphere. Place it where you took the Kilika Sphere from just a second ago. The wall will explode and reveal a chest. Open it to get some armour from Kimahri that weakens three types of elements. Now return to the door you left on fire and remove the Sphere to enter the chamber of the Fayth and get Aeon two, Ifrit.
more on the cloisters soon.

Sorry if "Annihilation" is spelled wrong. Simple task, but lucky too. When you are facing Seymour for the third and last time he does an attack which is called "Total Annihilation". Cast Protect on Yuna, then on the others. If you have some more time after, cast Shell on them. But, if you want to make sure you will live through this, when he is charging for the attack, bring out all your members with the most HP, including Yuna (whether or not she has least/most/middle HP). Cast Protect first, and Shell second. Just hope Seymour doesn't cast Dispel, but if that happens repeat the process.

When Dona starts to talk to Yuna (After Barthello shakes Auron's hand), look closely when Dona is talking. You'll see Tidus dancing around. It's quite funny if you enjoy laughing as much as I do. **This servers no point in the game.**

Any time you are facing Guado Guards (such as against Seymor the first time). They always auto-potion when you hurt them. The easiest way to beat them is NOT to summon aeons, but insetad to have Rikku steal thier potion. It only takes one steal and then they can't auto-potion anymore. After that, its cake to kill them with whatever method you like.

First get a weapon with multi-customization slots, a minimum of 2 slots. Use the weapon customization command and add Overdrive->AP to the weapon (10 Doors of Tomorrow required). Also if you have the option of double AP (20 Mega elixirs required) or Triple AP (50 Wings of Discovery required) Now switch your Overdrive mode to Slayer, Warrior, Victor, or Hero (I found Warrior works really well.) By doing that you now raise your potential of gaining AP. You also gain extra AP from the Overdrive->AP ability and then whatever AP you gain doubled or tripled with the double and triple AP option. I found the Cactuar Village on Bikanel Island (Cactuar mini quest must be completed to get in the village) is one of the best places to gain AP. You generally are able to fight creatures such as Cactuars (8000 AP), Sand Worms (2000 AP), and Zus (1200 AP). The battles that can be faced within the village include a group of three Cactuars (that being 24000 AP at a minimum without Triple or Double AP or Overdrive->AP) A group two Cactuars, A single Cactuar, Two Cactuars and a Zu, A single Zu, and A single Sand Worm.

When you have to fight Bombs (lil dudes that look like a ball of fire), summon Ifrit. In doing this, Bombs will only use Fire on you, not attacks. So, when they do, it heals you, since Ifrit is a *FIRE TYPE*. So cast Boost on you and just use Meteor Strike or attack them until they die. It's worth the wait because you don't die or get hurt. **NOTE** Make sure you kill them in 3 or less hits because if you have the help on, point the pointer at it and it'll say "Will self-destruct of attacked 3 times." But, it just heals him. So if you plan on calling him back before it self-destructs, be prepared.

When you have to fight Bel-whats-her name, you have to use Valefor and she uses Ifrit, it's kinda easy to win the battle. First of all, just make sure that you have at least 3/4 of it's Overdrive. Once it's filled up, use it. Afterward, Ifrit will do a Meteor Strike, a normal attack, and maybe another. Afterward, just keep using Sonic Wind. This causes you to attack every time, without getting damaged by Ifrit. It may take awhile, but it's worth it. **NOTE** If your Overdrive fills up while doing this, use it, but don't use it if you have under 500 HP. **NOTE** (2) You can do this for other enemies to, just make sure its only a monster with a lot of HP, and it's only one enemy.

Rotate the Right Analog-stick clockwise as fast as possible. The number will go up the more you rotate it. The more you level Lulu up, the easier it is to cast multiple spells.

The first step is to unlock a specific monster on the monster arena called One-Eye on the speicescreations.
The second step is to unlock Don Tonberry.(capture all of the monsters on the sunken cave on other words cavern of the stolen faith where you could get Yojimbo)
Now what you do after that is Beat One-Eye and do a overkill. Now sometimes it drops a triple ap weapon with some empty slots on it and some magic defences spheres.
When you get your triple ap weapon customize it with the Ap->overdrive ability (you need ten doors to tommorow) on your weapon.
Now set your overdrive mode to stioc or comrade.
Now battle the Don Tonberry and it hit it with a physical attack so it counters with Karma.(The damage depends on how mich monsters you've beaten so for example you beaten 10 monsters so it is multiplied like this 10x100=1000.So it is multiplied by 100.
So if your character attacks it it gets countered back and with your weapons effect your overdrive metre does not charge up but you gain more ap.I hope you like this code

When fighting Seymor for the first time look for a pattern of spells that he is casting. I found that he cast ice, thunder, water then fire so use Yuna to cast Nul spells in that order so that your caracters do not take any damage while facing him. Also, do not try to summon Aeons because he will quickly eliminate them. Defeating Anima is easy just use ????/shiva and cast blizzard/blizzara on herself to keep her HP up and once you hit overdrive unleash Diamond dust on Anima. This will either take 9999 HP from him or it may be less. Either way He is still a push over.

Another easy way to total kill Yu Yevon is to inflect Zombie Status on him that way when you attack him right after he will use curaga which will damage him 9,999. Note: if the Yu Pogas heal him you will need to use your zombie attack again.

On the S.S. Winno you will get the Jecht Shot Challenge. If you pass it you can use the Jecht Shot in blitsball when you pass level 3. This is one of the best blitsball moves.

The final boss can't kill you but his constant Curagaing can be anoying especially if you where just able to defeat Braska's Final Aeon. The easy way is to just keep defending every turn, he won't use curaga since he uses that as a counter attack. The only attack he will use is Gravija which hurts him too so just keep doing that. When he gets to about 10000 Hp it won't do as much damage, just keep defending for a few more Gravijas so that his health gets low and one clean swipe of Tidus's blade will kill him

Rikku's overdrive combines items to create special attacks and power-ups during battle. You have to choose any two items to combine. Note: Two of the same kind will work.

aeon: yojimbo- Go to the Cavern of the stolen faith, north of the calm lands. After defeating defender x go right and explore the cavern until you meet Lady G you have to battle yojimbo. Baaj temple should be accesable. Go thereand when you land, go north and dive in the water. You will then battle Geosgaeno. After defeating him continue into the temple. Go to each of the statues. The glyphs will only light up when you have collected all the tresures from the cloister of trials. The seal will break allowing acess to the fayth.

I am not saying the boss is easy, but if you manage to make it passed all your summons and you fight Yu Yevon this is what you do. No matter how much you hit him he uses Curage and heals 9,999. So use a reflect on him and hit him. He will heal you 9,999 almost every hit he takes. Cheap, ya I know but it works.
