someone said sothing about helping the king turn back into a non-statue...? So where is he what happened to him and what do i do to get a reward from him?

I don't really know how he got turned into a statue. But.. First you'll find the statue in a house in Sedona. When you go to the thieves caves to find out who tried to kill the king in Sedona the theives will ask you to bring it to them. After you do that it will become available to buy in the pirates black market. If you take it to the elves and give it to them by sitting him on his throne then he'll turn back to live and give you the key to uncurse the city.
