There's been a lot of questions about this, so I'm just gonna start a thread on it.
The whole deal withthe battering ram is a bit tricky because you have a couple of choices to make. First of all, this is a side-quest, so what ever you decide to do will not impact moving forward in the overall game.
In the north-east section of the Lowlands (in the Western Isles) there is an area called Old Woods. The elves live there. The elves are divided into two groups; the group that lives above ground in the trees and the group that live underground in Rootwell.
The elves have some pretty big problems happening and you'll end up getting a couple of quests to complete. One of their problems is that the two groups do not get along. If you talk to them, some of them will tell you that their king, Lionel is missing and if he were returned, he could bring peace to the land.
When you visit the Highlands, you find the hideout of the Militent Squirrels. They talk about taking over the would and needing a battering ram.
When you get to Sedona, in one of the houses, you see a statue of King Lionel. Also in Sedona, you visit the King's castle. While you are there, you witness an assasination attempt on the king by a thief and the King asks you to find out who is behind the assasination attempt. His son, Galahad offers to join the party.
The thieves' cave in on the same penensula as Sedona. When you talk to them they will tell you someone paid them to kill the king, but they won't tell you who until you steal the statue of King Lionel. Talking to the thieves is what trigger's the ability to steal the statue (otherwise the party will just look at it).
Steal the statue and give it to the thieves. You have to do this to move forward in the game.
There's a bunch of other stuff (quests) that you're going to have to do, but eventually after visiting the Veniara Islands a few times, the pirates will have the statue for sale. Buy it back.
The statue is actually the real King Lionel who is cursed. At this point you have a choice of giving the statue back to either the squirrels or the elves. It doesn't really matter (as far as the game goes) who you give it to, you'll get some kind of reward (but nothing major towards completing the game).
If you give the statue to the elves, your reward in the key that opens the mayor's house.
how do you get to the boat dealer?
and it is impossible to fight those creatures with a stick so how do i get past them?
if u have money(or gold pennies as they say) but some good weapons, you have to get swords becuase you're a sword singer(or going to become one)
