How do I defeat Cave Spirits?
Most of my powers just have no effect.
It's a bit odd, are they just really powerful or somthing?

You can defeat them by using Lightning Scrolls. Go to your items and use them during the battle.
well actualy there's two thing why you can't defeat the cave spirit, you are not in the ideal level (it was level 25 or more), and you don't use a better weapon.
using the scroll is not a very good idea, coz you'll lost them all in your 4th or 6th battle, but by leveling up you'll find fighting them all is an easy thing
Yes I agree with Fuko. You may want to try leveling up to the ideal level, if not, you may spend alot of money on the scrolls.
Yeah, I'm at level 21 for Lars and Rhen and Elini is at 20.
But now I saved my game at a really stupid point where I'm stuck between tonnes of Flies and Cave Spirits and I have no scrolls left.
Should I just start again or is there any way I could get out of it?
If you have saved a previous file maybe you could get out of the situation. If not, you either have to depend on luck or restart the game.
Yeah, I made a new file. My luck ran out. It sucks, I got really far. But thanks, at least I'll know what to do this time when I get to that stage again.
Well, I don't advise you to run your game from the start again, if you can manage your way back from the cave, and restore your health. try to leveling up more, restocking, and find a better weapon.
Lars need the orb staff and the flood orb (need 400G for all of it).
Well, for all the junior in Aveyond game, I'll advise you to:
1. Save not only in one slot
2. Train until you leveling up 5 level in a new area
3. Talk to everybody in a town (it'll help you finish your quest easily)
4. Read everything(it has the same reason with number 3)
5. Of course explore every area. So you can know an area more.
Yes, do what Fuko says. Though I just needed 1 save throughout the game, I guess it was all luck.
