To get the clock out of the ice, you have to go to DreamLand get the glowberries. Trade it with the person in Thais for the torch to melt the ice.
what you do with the 8 book pages:
Give them to the man in the Ghalarah, Eastern isle (he's in the house where you see the priestest ring, when you still be a slave)
