You'll get a torch from a man in Thais. You'll have to get glowberries from Dreamworld to trade him for it though. After you get the torch go back up the plant and use it to melt the ice.

You have to rescue the priestess, the ones guarding the entrance will give you the quest to save her when you talk to them. After you've saved her they'll let you in.
You get the painting from the little witch boy (don't remember his name, maybe Theodore) that you took to the Gentle Children's School. He'll give you a picture that he made and you trade it to the art dealer for the ticket.
nevermind i found some runes in seadona
Before you use the ruins make sure you have your boat somewhere where you can get back to it, also make sure you use several of the saves for just in case. If you use the ruins to travel leaving your boat somewhere and then run out of ruins and can't buy anymore to get back to your boat it will be lost to you... as others have found out the hard way.
