Be advised that in July, 2006, a new version of Aveyond was released. While most of the game is the same, there are some key differences. I have seen an adobe acrobat file (Aveyond-Walkthrough.pdf) on a number of aveyond sites and this walkthrough is for version 1.0. It's a bit helpful if your running 2.0, but there are some major differences in the main quest and if you try to use the walkthrough, you won't get very far. I started with 2.0, so I don't know all the differences.

To see which version you have, do one of two things:

Go to where you extracted the game (search for folder Aveyond). Open the ReadMe.txt file (using notepad, wordpad or any kind of text editor). If you have version 2.0, you'll see this at the top: Version of Aveyond: 2.0
Release Date: July 8, 2006.

Or while playing the game, the first big difference I noticed is that when I got to Holloween Hills, the entrance was barred and I had to complete some more quests before I could get the key and get in. In version 1.0, you could get in right away.

I have played both games, and the difference is enormous, but this is the best game. I love figuring it out all over again and I'm almost done with the game.

I am trying so hard to figure out how to get the skull off of that pedestal in the middle of the lake so that i can open the gate to Halloween but I just am stuck. Anyone help me?

Can anyone help me how to climb the wall? I just saw the large rock and can't to climb it. ( I has learn study to climb form aveyond)

I'm not sure where you're at in the game, but you see that wall long before you can get the ability to climb it. I think it's when you're in Sedona that someone offers to teach you the climbing skill for a fee.
